Do You Own the Phone?
No, ownership transfers only after the agreed minimum term ends or upon upgrade.
If Exiting Early:
The phone remains Tesco Mobile’s property until you pay:
Outstanding charges.
Remaining monthly charges for the Minimum Term.
Early termination fees apply, based on the remaining time in your contract.
Network Restrictions
Tesco Mobile handsets are locked to the network and require a Tesco Mobile SIM.
At Sign-Up:
Terms are included in the starter pack and detail services for a minimum 28-day period after top-up.
During Your Service:
Contract Summaries and full terms are always available via the My Tesco Mobile app.
You own the phone at the time of purchase, subject to the signed Terms and Conditions.
Requirements:
Your phone must either:
Be topped up by €150, or
Be active on Tesco Mobile for 9 months.
Call 1903 (free from any mobile/landline).
Call 1749 from your Tesco Mobile handset (20c per call or one minute from unlimited call minutes).
Use our messaging service for assistance.
Timeframe: 3 to 21 days depending on the phone model. Unlock instructions will be sent via email.
