Yes, it is entirely possible to keep your existing number when switching to Tesco Mobile. Your order includes a SIM card with a Tesco Mobile 089 number, but you can keep your existing number from another network if you prefer. Follow these simple steps to move your number to Tesco Mobile.
Download the Tesco Mobile app.
Go to the Move My Number section.
Follow the step-by-step instructions.
Register on the Tesco Mobile app using your new Tesco Mobile 089 number.
You will need both your new Tesco Mobile SIM and your existing SIM card.
You will receive a text message with a verification code on the SIM card from your current network (not your Tesco Mobile SIM).
Enter this code when prompted to complete the move.
You can call Customer Care on 1903, and we’ll assist you. You will need to ensure that the SIM of the number you wish to keep is in a phone that can receive the verification code.
Single line (only one number on your existing account with current network, including broadband): Up to 2 hours.
Multiple lines (more than one number on your existing account with current network including broadband): Up to 8 hours.
You can continue to use your phone during this time.

Note: Porting is the process of moving your number from one network provider to another.
Use any remaining credit with your current network before moving your number - it cannot be transferred.
Copy your contacts to your Tesco Mobile SIM card, as they will not transfer automatically.
Make sure you are using a Tesco Mobile phone or an unlocked phone compatible with your Tesco Mobile SIM.
Use the Tesco Mobile app to set up recurring top-ups, make payments, and register your Clubcard for extra benefits.
