Voicemail settings & set up

All new customers are automatically set up with voicemail. To personalise it:

1. Call 171 from your mobile.

2. Complete the following steps:

Step 1: Setting Up a Voicemail PIN

The first time you call 171, you’ll be prompted to create a PIN.

• Use this PIN to access voicemail from another line.

• To change your PIN later, call 173 from your mobile.

Step 2: Recording a Personalised Greeting

• Dial 172 and press 3 for Personal Options.

• Press 3again to set up or change your greeting:

  • Press 1: Record a new greeting.

  • Press 2: Listen to your current greeting.

  • Press 3: Record a name tag.

  • Press 4: Listen to your name tag.

Step 3: Activating Call Diverts

• Dial the shortcode 004*voicemail number# and press Call.

• Your voicemail box number is your mobile number with a “5” added after the prefix (e.g., 089 123 4567 becomes 089 5 123 4567).

Disabling Call Diverts

To turn off voicemail, dial ##002# and press Call. You will see a confirmation message when diverts are cancelled.

Listening to Voicemail

• In Ireland: Dial 171 and press 1 to listen to messages.

• Abroad: Dial 089 430 2000, enter your mobile number, and then your voicemail PIN.

Managing Your Mailbox

• Your mailbox can store up to 10 minutes of messages.

• Old messages are saved automatically unless you delete them.

• You’ll receive a text notification if your mailbox is full.

Voicemail Notifications

You can choose how you’re notified of new messages:

• By text message.

• By a call.

• Both.

To configure this, dial 171, press 6, and follow the options.

Charges for Voicemail Abroad

While abroad, you may be charged for listening to voicemails by dialling 171.
