Within 14 Days of Purchase

If you change your mind within the first 14 days of purchase, you can return your device for a refund.

If you bought your phone in a Tesco store:

  • Return it in its original packaging with all accessories (battery, headset, charger, SIM card) to the customer service desk at the store where you purchased it.

  • Bring your receipt as proof of purchase.

If you purchased your phone online:

Within 30 Days of Purchase

If your Tesco Mobile phone becomes faulty in the first 30 days of purchase, you can return it for a refund. If the phone is faulty i.e., confirmed non-conformity, you can choose between a refund, repair or replacement.

In-store purchases:

  • Return as above to the original store.

Online purchases:

Over 30 Days but Less Than 1 Year 

In addition to your statutory rights, most phones include a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and accessories like chargers and batteries typically carry a 6-month warranty. If the device is faulty i.e., confirmed non-conformity, depending on the severity of the fault will dictate which remedies are available to you. Our Customer Care team will take you through the options.

Over 12 months but Less Than 6 Years

If a fault is identified and the device is found not to have conformed to the contract at the time it was supplied, you may be entitled to a remedy under your statutory rights. The remedies available will depend on the nature of the fault, the circumstances of the claim, and when the issue was reported. Our Customer Care team will advise you of the options available following assessment of the device.

Please note: Any warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights. Warranties do not cover physical damage, liquid/moisture damage, misuse, accidental damage, or unauthorised modifications.

Your statutory rights may entitle you to a remedy if the phone or device was faulty at the time of supply. These rights do not cover faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, or unauthorised modifications after purchase.

If a fault covered by your warranty or statutory rights is confirmed following inspection, any costs incurred in returning the device to us will be fully reimbursed.

To arrange a repair (defect caused by misuse, accidental damage i.e., not covered by warranty or statutory rights):

  • Contact Customer Care, or call our team at 1903.

  • Send your phone by registered post for tracking.

  • Record your phone's IMEI number to check repair status at www.fonfix.ie.

  • If a repair cost applies, Fonfix will contact you with a quote. 

  • If you accept, payment will be taken by credit/debit card.

  • If you decline, or the phone is deemed 'beyond economical repair,' a €10 fee applies to return the device. 

How Much Does it Cost to Repair Your Phone?

  • Repairs under warranty are free unless the phone shows physical or moisture damage. 

  • Out-of-warranty or repairs due to defects caused by misuse will be quoted by Fonfix. Declining the repair incurs a €10 return fee. 

Tracking the Progress of Your Repair

  • Visit www.fonfix.ie and enter your phone’s IMEI number.

  • Find your IMEI on the phone box, under the battery, or by dialling *#06#.
