Top Up FAQ's

You can top-up your Tesco Mobile with a Top-up voucher which you can buy from any Tesco store, post office or at selected retail outlets nationwide.

You can choose a voucher value of €10, €20 or €30.

To Top-up with your voucher from your phone, all you need to do is:

  • Dial 1740 on your mobile phone and follow the voice prompts.
  • Type *101*yourvouchernumber# and press the send or call button on your phone.
  • Go to the menu on your phone and select the 'Tesco Mobile SIM’ option.
  • Select 'Top-Up', then select 'By Voucher' and follow the prompts.

You can Top-up using a credit or debit card when you register your card details with Customer Care. Unless your card details change, you'll only need to do this once. To register your details, call 1749 to speak to a Customer Care agent. We’ll sort it for you in minutes.

You can then send a SMS with your required Top-up amount (e.g. 10) to 1745.

Alternatively, when your details are registered, you can top-up from your phone:

  • Go the menu on your phone and select the 'Tesco Mobile SIM' option.
  • From the SIM menu, select 'Top-up by text'.
  • Choose from €10, €20 or €30 Top-up credit and press send.
  • You'll receive a message confirming if the Top-up has been successful and the value of your Top-up.
  • Once your card is registered to top up, you can also download our app for Android from Google Play. As well as being able to top up through the app, you can also check your up to date usage and call history.

You can top-up someone else by using a credit or debit card when you register your card details with Customer Care. To register your details, call 1749 to speak to a Customer Care agent.

Once you have registered your credit or debit card, you will be able to Top-up a Tesco Mobile number by logging in to My Tesco Mobile.

It is best to Top-up your phone before you go on holiday. Alternatively, you can register your credit or debit card with us before you go away by calling 1749. When your details are registered, you can send a text to 1745 containing your required Top-up amount, e.g. 10.

We’re afraid not. Tesco Mobile vouchers from the UK will not work in Ireland and vice versa.

If you have the voucher serial number, we can check whether your voucher has been used. If it hasn’t you can pop back into the store you purchased it in for assistance. If it has been used we will be unable to offer any further assistance.

If you don't have the voucher serial number there is no way for us to establish the voucher details and we will be unable to offer any further assistance.
