Unlock Codes

To network unlock your phone means that you want to use a SIM card from another network in your phone.

You can request an unlock code by filling in the request form here.

To Network unlock your Tesco Mobile phone you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Pay as You Go Customers – You will need to have topped up by a minimum €150 or be a Tesco Mobile customer for 9 months or more.
  • Capped Plan/Sim Only Customers – You will need to have bills totalling a minimum of €150 or be a Tesco Mobile customer for 9 months or more.
  • Handset Plans (12/18 month contracts) – You can unlock your phone at any time as you are contracted for 12/18 months, which would mean you have met the 9 month criteria.

This can vary from 2 days to 21 days depending on the phone manufacturer.

Please be aware that some phones can become permanently locked if the code is put into the phone incorrectly too many times. If this happens, the phone must be manually unlocked.
