Malicious and Nuisance Calls.

If you are receiving a malicious or nuisance calls, we would suggest you report this to the Gardaí. You can list your number as ‘ex-directory’ on this site under the My Tesco Mobile section or you can call us on 1749 and we can do this for you. We can also change your number for you, if necessary.

 

Tips for dealing with Malicious Calls

Malicious Calls are rare, but when they do occur they cause stress and upset to the recipient.  They can take many different forms: Silent calls, abusive, threatening, annoying or offensive.  We advise you to take the following steps should you receive a Malicious Call

  1. Don't engage with the caller, just hang up.
  2. You have the ability to make your phone number ex-directory, this can be achieved by logging into our Self-Serve platform My Tesco Mobile here.
  3. Get in touch with the Gardai. The making of malicious and nuisance calls is a criminal offence.
  4. Most phones have the capability to block unwanted numbers, please reference the user guide for your mobile phone. If you need help with blocking Malicious calls please calls please contact our customer care line at 1749.
