Things to Do in Ireland July

Looking to have some fun in the sun with the family this July?

If so then you’ll be happy to know there’s lots of great things going on across Ireland this July including spectacular street festivals, outdoor activities in enchanting surroundings and more.

Laya City Spectacular

The annual Laya City Spectacular returns to Dublin and Cork this July, featuring a whole host of free events perfect for the entire family.

These include street performances, sing along workshops and gigs, laughter yoga, dancing, cookery demonstrations, sport skill sessions and the DSPCA Pet-acular area where the family dog can take part in some special dog training and watch agility demonstrations!

The Laya City Spectacular takes place in Merrion Square, Dublin from 6th – 8th July, & Fitzgerald Park, Cork from 14th – 15th July 2018.

Castlecomer Discovery Park

A guaranteed fun day out for the whole family, Castlecomer Discovery Park is located 18km north of Kilkenny City and has more than 80 acres of natural woodlands to explore and a range of activities available for the whole family to enjoy.

These include 6km of walking trails, a fishing lake, design craft workshops, kids playground, picnic areas, pedal boats and canoes, a Tree Top Adventure Walk complete with a ‘Leap of Faith’ and a climbing wall.

With so much to do you and the family may find you need to return to Castlecomer Discovery Park numerous times throughout the summer!

Phoenix Park

If you live in Dublin, there’s not too many places that are better to while away a sunny day with the family than the Phoenix Park.

It’s the largest urban park in the whole of Europe, and is of course home to Dublin Zoo, Áras an Uachtaráin, Farmleigh House and much more.

It’s a great spot to take the kids for a picnic and is home to a large variety of wildlife, including a large herd of deer, and has plenty of playgrounds dotted throughout in case the kids are in need of some entertaining.
