Get the most from your phone
- *New* Call Me allows you to send a free message to any Irish mobile asking them to call you. So, if you’re out of credit you don't need to be out of touch with friends or family.
Simply enter "callme" along with the recipient's mobile number in the text, and send to 1744. The recipient will then receive a text message asking them to call you.
- Save the numbers for our money saving bundles into your phonebook, so you'll have them handy to send your blank text to when you want to buy a bundle.
- If you don't want to take a call, you don't have to. Switch your phone off, or put on silent and then you can pick up the message whenever you want. More information on voicemail
- Record a new Voicemail message to keep people informed of where you are and what you're up to. Simply record a new message whenever you need to.
- Save your friends' numbers into the phonebook on your phone. That way you'll always have them handy when you want to get in touch.
- Delete old texts to make sure you receive new ones. For many handsets a flashing envelope symbol means that your mailbox is full.
- Pick up your mobile messages from a fixed line. Just call 089 430 2000, then enter your mobile number and then your voicemail PIN. If you have forgotten your voicemail PIN, please call us and we will be able to reset your PIN to a default PIN (and you can set a new voicemail PIN number for yourself).
- Check your credit balance from your mobile just press *100# on your keypad, and then press the send button. Your balance will appear on the screen.
- Your mobile doubles as a handy alarm clock. When you're abroad, remember to set the clock to local time.
Let your battery completely run out every so often before recharging. It will help keep it working better for longer.
To manage certain tasks on-line such as registering your details or checking your balance, you can register for 'My Tesco Mobile'. Simply log on to My Tesco Mobile and then 'Register Now'.
Register your Clubcard number when you register your details and earn Clubcard points every time you top up. If anyone else in your family has a Tesco Mobile phone, please ask them to register your Clubcard to their mobile phone account - and you can earn even more Clubcard points!
To make top up even easier, register your credit/debit card details by calling us on 089 420 0000 or 1749 from your Tesco Mobile (calls cost 20c regardless of duration). You'll be able to text for credit whenever you need it.
When you transfer to Tesco Mobile from another network, cut the hassle of telling everyone your number has changed. Keep your old number instead.
My Magic Number is a safety back up service which allows children of 16 years of age and under to send up to one text message per day FREE of charge to a parent or nominated number when their phone credit is too low to make a call or send a text.
